so, I just hatched out some of my quails eggs, and out of eleven eggs, I got seven pharaohs, one tuxedo, and.... a golden Italian? where on earth did that come from? my tuxedo and golden Italian came from my only A&M, and the only other quail I have are pharaohs. maybe she has Italian blood? well, never in a thousand years did I even think I would get an Italian, but I have to say I am pleased. even if she did hatch on day twenty-five.

I think the white colored quail (English White and A&M) are recessive, so it probably had other colors in it's genetics that interacted with the other bird it bred with to produce the Italian color. I have a group of Italians and three of their eggs hatched out white with spots that were Italian coloring.

I've got 3 italians and have 8 eggs incubating and I'm hoping for similar!
