This morning I saw an 8 week old cockerel run and mount 2 full grown hens!! Like grab the head feathers lean back and try to make his vent touch theirs. One was his surrogate mother! Is that normal? This hens are 3 times his size. Hahaha

Completely normal! He knows he has urges, and he’s figuring out what to do with them. He’s just like a teenager confused about sex

..... and don’t underestimate his size.... I have 2 of the smallest bantam roosters ever and they successfully mated (eggs hatched and all) with my standard sized sex links. It looks hilarious, but they make it work!!!
