I was told it was a Black Mottled Booted Banty????????

First time we had what we thought were Black Mottled Booted Banties, but as I was told and shown, they aren't! But what are they????

They are definitly not Black Mottled, I don't know what breed or cross they are though.

The coloration of the males look birchen, but breed I can't even guess. Better overall pics may be useful.

Are those the ones you got from me? If so they are black cochin x birchen jap. The ones I grew out ended up all solid black females and birchen males.

Yes they are, we understood them to be black mottled. We didn't know they were crossed? We only raise pure bloods, sorry for the misunderstanding. Are the black cochins pure? Hope so they turned out really nice looking.

Yes- the dad is the same dad as the pure black cochin chicks that were with them. I had posted pics of the crosses when they were babies, and everyone thought they would be mottled. That may be what I told you. If the girls are like mom they should be great broodies and lay like crazy. I love the color the boys got.
If you don't want to keep them- post them on LSN. I sold all of mine and still had people calling.
