I was told they are all female

No, this is absolutely false! Please do not cuddle or hold your roosters, unless you want them to turn into monsters.

I have had a total of three different roosters, the first one I cuddled every day from a tiny chick. He turned into a monster and flogged my mom badly. The second I cuddled as well, but not nearly as much. He was much better, but still unfriendly. The third I didn't hold or pet or even go near. He is the best rooster I've ever had, and never disrespects me.

When you treat a rooster like a pet it humiliates them, which makes them aggressive. They're made to protect their hens, not be coddled. They are not pets, period.

Absolutely this is true. I had a cockerel who would sit on my lap and enjoy scratches and cuddles until one day he went absolutely psycho on me. I raised him from a chick and everything. Their hormones will get the better of them eventually (most cockerels, not all, you might be lucky, but I've never had a good experience with cuddled roos). I just saw it as if he's familiar with you, they realise us humans are pushovers... until we're not.

Okay online has been giving me mixed information, So I thought that if I did cuddle up on him and pet him, he would be more friendly towards me.
From everything I have read and heard, it seems that it is pretty much complete luck. I have seen tons of people say how good their roo is that they socialized and I have also heard how bad their roo was from that. Same goes for leaving it alone.

I have not had any cockerels/roos so take what I said with a grain of salt

That's true with raising chicks that turn out to be hens, but roosters just have a different mindset. It's better to be less touchy with them once you're aware they're a rooster, even if they seem sweetest and friendliest.

on the contrary I had a mixed breed that looked like a barred-rock and he was a mean ol'thing, I named Mister Attitude for a reason, he was also very mean to the girls I had to part with him.

I don't have much experience with Roosters, but is it true what I have been reading that the more you handle them and love on them the more friendlier they will become?
I’ve heard they can change demeanour around a year old.

Thank you all for your input, he does seem very mellow but he is just a youngster. I haven't picked him up for cuddles in a while, I did pick them all up today to move them into a bigger brooder till I have to put them out side which I am guessing would be in mid sept to end of sept.

Thank you all! :love
