Okay, my daughter picked this chick at a tailgate sale and we were told it is an Ameracauna pullet. I just want to double check because I do not need more roosters in my yard lol. It has quite a cool looking plumage coming in. What color type is it?

False for sure roo and not even amerucana. Has a single comb.

I have an EE with no beard or muff.

That however is a roo and it's gonna have a huge comb from the looks of it.

It's a pretty chick though.

I think if you're looking for pure Ameraucanas you need to contact someone on this forum. There are some good breeders here.

I've hatched eggs from a few people here and ordered from some top breeders. I have blue, BBS, lavender, black and silver. I think I even have a BBS splash chick. Hoping it feathers out that way.

Look in the Ameraucana thread and you'll find others who have them. I let people know what I have, but I don't push them enough I guess. LOL Just did though huh? hehe

Like I said there are lots of really good breeders on here. Maybe try pips&peeps! I have birds from her and they are beautiful.

Remember though that a pure AM should have a muff, beard and peacomb and slate legs. That way someone won't be able to take you again. I get the third degree when I sell chicks and I can tell them my lines and what my breeds should look like. A lot of bad breeders make it very hard on those who are honest.

Thanks for the input everyone....will be a pretty rooster anyways.... so we also got this one from the same guy...is this also an EE and possibly female??

black legs and black comb, IDK, I dont see a beard, and it has a single comb. Does it have 5 toes? Looks like it might have some silkie in it???

It only has 4 toes, and is black from head to legs...underside is a dark slate. It was in with a bunch of what was said to be Ameracaunas...that is where the one pictured first was also in, and found out to not be the case.
