I was told this rooster was a silkie

I don't really know anything about breeds, but he doesn't look like a silkie to me from what I have seen looking around online. He appears to have hard feathers. He has feathered legs. He sure is funny! What do y'all think?

Definitely not a silkie, maybe a cochin. Pretty though.

i might be able to tell you what kind of cochin it is be back going to research it...

pretty boy he is a cochin and a banty. standard cochins are huge. the roos can weigh up to eleven pounds. banty cochins are large when placed next to other banties like sermas. some times bantys and standards are crossed with out something to show scale it is hard to tell.

i don't know... where did you get it from? it looks almost mottled from the pics i have seen. is there a chance it is a mixed breed?
