I was wondering if they could breed cause I put two Mexican speckle hen with a valley quail cock just wondering if they would breed

Generally quail don't step out of their breeds for mating. But would it not be impossible. Don't hold your breath however.

Don't be too surprised if one or both of your hens are bloody in the morning.

They are just fine why would they be bloody for

I think what James is getting at is, you really shouldn't mix different breeds together. Some are more aggressive than others and especially during breeding season, birds can be quite territorial.

Keep an eye on them however. Chances are there will be no breeding and as long as you are not crowding these birds together, they may all get along. But don't let your guard down.

oyster shell works really well. Sounds like they need extra calcium
