Well I just put 14 cochin eggs in my new Brinsea 20 advance incubator. What happened? How do you pass up a great product at a great price when your broody hens start acting flakey? Don't get me wrong broody hens are the bomb and but for those "special eggs" it is nice to be more directly in control.

My three broody hens, all chickens, are getting flakey with turkey eggs that I now wish were in a bator. It will be a small miracle if any make it. Maybe that is a little too pessimistic. Truth is with eggs on a broody I usually don't pay much attention. Also I have fallen in love with turkeys. Thankfully a nice new bunch of cochin babies will keep a smile on my face even if no poults hatch.

Man this bator is smallish but it looks and functions like a fine tuned scientific instrument. Will definitely post pics if nothing goes wrong. Will post specifics if my initial impressions of this bator prove too positive. Hatch day should be monday 7/20.

I have 2 GQF cabinet incubators and a Brinsea ECO 20, and chose to set my 14 turkey eggs in the Brinsea. I had a successful turkey egg hatch (my first ever hatch) two months ago so I have a lot of faith in the Brinsea. I probably did everything I shouldn't have, and yet still had eggs hatch!

Keeping my fingers crossed that your hens successfully hatch out the turkey eggs for you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get at least one BR tom out of the 14 eggs that I have in the Brinsea.

Hope to see you posting pics soon! Good luck!
