Don't feel too stoopid. Listen to what I did!

I kept noticing the back left corner of the coop was wet, like water was blowing in the window but there's no way that could happen, right? Right. There's not. What was happening was that the sprinkler UNDER THE COOP was getting water up between the wall and the floor. I didn't even know we had a sprinkler head there until we built the coop!

Now, THAT is stoopid.

Still trying to figger out if I can just cap the PVC or if I have to do something special to get rid of that sprinkler.

Well, you can add me to this list as well.
I had a slab of concrete already here from when we bought our house and I was going to put my raised coop on that so that it would be level, pred. proof...ect.

I had asked DH if that place was ok to use incase he wanted to put a shed there. He ok'd it so I began building....well, now my Mom (who lives with us now) wants to buy us a shed (which we really do need) but that slab is the only suitable place for it....so.....

hahahahaha...

When we bought this house the small shed we wanted for the chicken coop had to be moved. We torn everything off it, so the frame was the only thing left. And the sucker was still too heavy!! So DH s-l-o-o-o-w-l-y moved it with his truck. Only to have the shed crack when we where moving it the last inch or so.

Can we see pictures of your coop? This is just the size I'm hoping to have - how many chickens do you have? Can you post pictures!?

No matter how you decide to move it, be sure to have someone there for the sole purpose of FILMING the entire process. That way, if some mishap occurs, you could at least send in the tape to America's Funniest Home Videos. The $10,000 prize money can then be used to build a new and spiffier coop for your chickens.

I think im gona go to home depot or ace and check out the wheels the more i think about it the more i think it would be a good idea so we can move it if we want. we just bought our house a year ago, with a dirt yard so we still have alot of lanscaping to do, so i might just want to change location eventually anyways, why not i got to go get the fencing for the run anyways might as well grab some wheels to, dang this thing just gets more and more expensive!!!
