I wish there were Blue Laced Red Orpingtons

@SageLeBert, so what do you want to know?
I can't even articulate what I would need 😂 I wouldn't know where to start. I assume you'd need to introduce a mohagany color & blue that would only effect the lacing.. but how?!
With what?!
I have Gold Laced &Black mottled Orpingtons right now, but that's as far as I've gotten in the Orpington category.
I wish I had a computer, to play with that chicken calculator everyone talks about

Getting what you want won't be hard since you already have one of the correct birds.

How on earth would we start?!
Cross a Splash Laced Red Wyandotte to Gold Laced Orpingtons (with nice type--don't start with poor quality orps). You will get BLR chickens with rose combs and white legs.

Cross one of the F1 chicks back to the Gold Laced Orpingtons. 1/8 of the chicks will be usable to continue the project--those chicks will have the proper single comb and dark red lacing. Some will have black lacing borders, some will have blue.

The culls from that cross will be any bird with a rose comb and gold lacing (as opposed to red).

Cross the F2s together--at this point you are just working on culling out yellow leg genes and stabilizing the red color.

This is at least how I would do it... but everyone has a different method of getting the same result!
