I went to my show the Dixie roller winter show this weekend and my young hen ( a showroller ) placed best young hen in junior birds , best red check hen color class , and 3rd out of 15 adult young hens ! she was handfed so it didn't help us place any higher when she played with the judges fingers

my baldhead rollers all placed no lower than 2nd place ! the only reason my little red check didnt take a championship was because she is a tad bit small ( her growth was stunted when he rparents died and she wouldnt take formula for a bit ) and she is to friendly hoping she grows in the next year she is a kick butt bird .... I purchased the perfect cock bird to breed her too looking forward to the 2012 breeding season ! so i came home with some lovely awards .
