I wonder how many BYC'ers are gun owners?

I disagree. If I leave a hammer on the table, most four year-olds will not be able to unintentionally kill someone with it. The range and killing power of the two differ, and this is something I try to be aware of and respect.

Well, a horse has its own mind. a gun and car are tools, misused can be dangerous. just like a hammer can be used for driving nails as to a gun shooting paper targets and both use to kill. A gun cant be frightened and kick you.
Its crazy how some people blame the tool when its the human mind that is dangerous. A hammer untouched is just a hammer just like a gun is.
I try to be logical as much as I can and unbiased.

what I mean is that like with horses and cars, if you are careless and irrational, you can up your risk of injury to yourself and others.
