but my fat booty can't get off the ground. The school I teach at is closed the next two days due to a large number of absences from the flu. I feel bad that we have so many sick kids, but I plan on thoroughly enjoying this unexpected four day weekend.

In celebration of my day off, I woke up at 6:30 to get started on a list of mini projects. My philosophy is that unexpected days off are a gift and should be utilized, not wasted and squandered.

So I'm off to make a bigger droppings board for the main coop, make a bigger brooder for the 23 chicks that are quickly outgrowing their water trough, and of course spend my breaks checking out BYC to see what other great ideas I can come up with.

Enjoy your long weekend. So far so good at my school, there hasn't been a lot of illness. I'll just keep my fingers crossed. I think I may have already had the H1N1, but I am not sure. It may have just been the regular flu. I wish there was a way to find out if you already had it or not.
