Hello there!

We have 3 turkeys (2 laying hens and a tom) and I would like to learn more about turkeys. I know all the basic stuff like housing, food, and other topics like that. Things like diseases, hatching, and genetics are things I would wish to learn more about :D

Really anything will help!

You can learn the color genetics at Porter's Rare Heritage Turkeys.

You can learn about blackhead here.

Hatching is the same as with most poultry except the length of time is 28 days.

It's no different then on BYC. You always have to use your best judgment. You gather alot of information and then some more and then some more and go with your gut. So far being a new mom of 6 baby turkeys this method hasn't failed me yet. I come to BYC first and then expand from there..
