Just trying to wrap up all those "summer" projects that need to get done before the snow flies. I'm searching for the side panels and tarps that need to go up in the not-too-distant future. It's too early to turn on the furnace, although it was 46 degrees this morning.

Recently learned that one of my two Ameraucana chicks won't be laying any eggs. Theodora, as it turns out, is a rooster. The renamed 11-week-old boy is doing his best to crow. Let's just say, he's improving!

Wow! I've toyed with the idea of silkies (as soon as I have more coop room), but I had no idea someone in Iowa sold Death Layers! Thanks for doing research.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. It sounds like this is a good place to buy chickens but they never seem to have the breed I want.
