Trying to avoid spending too much time outside when it's super smoky! So far everyone's managing alright. The birds and kids have been fine.

Did anyone else get a "surprise" downpour this morning? The sky was bright and sunny, suddenly there was a deafening thunder clap, the open living room window blew shut and the heavens opened. For about 10 minutes. Then, it was again a bright and sunny day.

No, but the weatherman said to expect some frequent storms today. All i’ve been getting is 98 degree weather and lots of humidity

Not here, but there was a small but intense looking cell that went just north of me.

i have 13 hens and 1 rooster
plus some eggs in the incubator
definitely getting more in 2026
im looking for anyone that might have any bantam cochins that need a home if they could be shipped that would be good im still learning how to drive so i probaly cant do pick up
