IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Fiesty is a really good sign though! This is one of my baryard mix chicks, I love it's coloring!

That is a pretty little chick.

As of this morning we have 7 chicks with 5 more pipped.
I'll be moving the hatched chicks to the brooder this afternoon. Hopefully the humidity wont crash too hard and mess up any others that are still hatching. But this is day 2 since the first hatched.

OMG!
Literally as soon as I hit post on that last message one of my boys shot me a text and said we have 11 chicks in the bator. I set 17 eggs, 2 were not fertile, so out of 15 I've got 11 so far. Yea Imma bit happy!

The eggs I ordered yesterday were shipped today. Expected delivery Wednesday. I sterilized the incubator and have it set up and running. I changed my setup a bit to make things easier.
Round 3, lol.

Wait...you ordered more eggs? Ummm does that mean you start a "October Hatches" thread next?
Cause I gotta tap out after this one.
I have an unrelated theory on this "common core," "new math" stuff my kids are learning. It was all created by someone who started out with two chickens.
1C + 1C = ∞C
Chicken math is a real thing.

Don't judge me, lol! I go to work, and then I come home. I needed a hobby, lol. I had forgotten how much I liked incubating eggs. So... yes, I have 12 eggs coming from a breeder here in Florida. And... 6 CCL and 6BI on order, expected to ship in October.
I may start another thread, or I might just try to quietly fly under the radar for my next two hatches!

Day 15 for the two test runs. I had a peek at turning this am and they look great. Much better than my last go. Trying to keep busy so just finished half of my Fall garden, dug it up and layed chicken feed bags down to prevent weeds then recovered with soil. My Hatcher is behaving so far on my test runs but one kink midday when it spikes to 102. It’s still air but still rather lower than higher.. my incubator does something similar but I am always home and know exactly what time and adjust accordingly. Lol
