Does anyone have the iBird app with the mallard duck calls? I was at the lake and played the flirty female and female in flight call. All the males perked right up and listened. Some even came up to me. When I played the male quack-whistle, they got agitated with each other. As soon as I stopped playing the female sounds, all the males started quacking up a storm!

I have wood duck calls, too, but I didn't see any wood ducks around.

Anyone else do that with their ducks?

I'm not sure if you actually have an iPhone or another smartphone. I have an iPad and it worked fine. I think I found it on http://www.whatbird.com and downloaded it on iTunes.

I think the direct site is: http://www.ibirdexplorer.com/

They have a lite version which has mallard and wood duck calls. You can buy other apps with more birds on it.

ETA: I do see where they say it will work on Android, too.

I won an iPad recently, so I downloaded it, otherwise, I would never have anything like that.

I have an app called "Chirp! USA" and another called "Chirp! Canada" that has mallard calls....my Ducks seem to ignore it lol

Thats cool. How does one go about wining an ipad?

I was doing some writing work (without pay) for this one website and they had a random drawing for it. There were three cash prizes and two iPad prizes. I could have really used the cash, though. But, I could always sell the iPad.
