IC worried/scared bad smelling nasal discharge

Just my opinion
I was raised on a ranch. We learned the abc's of animal husbandry. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. It is the difference between being an adult and a child. Lessons are learned, it is part of the experience. When you have animals there are certain things you experience and learn. It is part of your and your children's learning experience. You might consider doing what you know you need to do and teaching your children the responsibility. Then start over wiser and older and do the best you can. It's all any of us can do.

ahh, the kids aren't mine, I have no say on that front. Their mother and I are both biologists and our mom and stepfather are former microbiologists-so I know she would opt for treatment of the whole flock and perm. isolation rather than culling. It just will mean an end to our 4H and other hopes. - this still is a moot point as we have yet to verify that the oter birds did have it and if so, that it was transferred from the quarantined birds.
