ice and water shield for coop floor??

Has anyone ever successfully used ice and water shield ( underlay for roofing) for the inside coop floor or dropping board? I already bought the roll but when I read he package it says that it can cause cancer... And I don't want to hurt my chickens over time... But at the same time I will be keeping shavings on the floor. Anyone have experience with this??
