i have a very large ice chest 18x60 plastic or fiberglass i cut a 30x14 hole in top and drilled some holes at bottom put 60 w light in each end .temps stays about 95 has anyone used something like this?

First, 95 is very, very hot. Controlling for over heating is going to be a challenge. We have far more cases of chicks over heating here than we do cold chicks, imho. Secondly, the size might seem large, but chicks are extremely active very quickly and grow huge very quickly. It would only be good for a handful of chicks for a short period of time.

Brooders need to be large enough for the chicks to grow out, have room to run around and stretch and most of all, have room to self-regulate their body heat by having cooler places to which to move when they get too warm.
