It is a skating ring outside my house today. Tried to go somewhere, got about four out of eight miles down the hill toward our destination, we were almost at the bottom of the hill, almost to the larger, fully paved roads, and then found out there was a place you could ABSOLUTELY couldn't pass without going into the ditch. We stopped about a hundred yards short of this, and waited for a sand truck--there was no way we were turning around without sand on the road. It took like an hour to get up the road. What a mess. Wish we had checked the road department website or something, or called somebody, when we first heard it was bad out there this morning.
