I let the chickens (barred rock and easter eggers) into the run this morning and it was raining. They got wet. But now the temps dropping and their feathers are freezing. They have access to their coop but they only go in to lay and at night. Should I toss them to bed early? Towel them off first? Any advice appreciated as this is my first winter with chickens.

How wet are you talking? Like completely soaked through or just wet on the top, if it’s the later I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Ok, I checked them. It is just the top. Guess it looks worse than it is. Chickens are more tough than me. Thank you.
