I was just reading an online poultry catalog that is offering Muscovy ducks for the first time this year. In the description, is this: "They are also prone to roosting and perching on objects similar to chickens."

Unless this sentence is incorrectly structured or poorly punctuated -- as I'm sure it is -- I would be reluctant to get ducks that roost and perch on "objects similar to chickens."

Hey, I put myself out there by letting people know I USED to be a newspaper editor. Even editors got edited where I worked, and I was saved from many an error by folks who caught my mistakes.

However, as no one is paying me now, I don't worry about being letter perfect.

And, I don't edit fellow members' posts. I just got a chuckle out of the picture in my head of a large duck trying to balance on a chicken's shoulders for a good night's sleep. Bet they would both wake up tired.
