Hi. Me again, I was wondering what these were and if the (2) is a cockerel.

Both were bought out of the bantam bin at local farm supply store. Assuming hatch date was 4/25. (1) doesn’t seem like the size of a bantam but I am a first time chicken owner.

The hatchery they use is Hoover hatchery. I had thought (1) was a barred rock and (2) was a splash/lavender d’uccle but to be honest I have no clue what I’m talking about lol

I was also curious if anyone can tell if my black frizzle (3) is a cockerel or pullet, I have seen mixed thoughts on them. It is also the same age.

The frizzle looks like a cockerel to me, I’m not sure about the others.

2 and 3 are cockerals. 1 looks like a pullet. 1 is either a barred rock or cuckoo maran. Not sure on 2

I also agree but number 2 is definitely not a porcelain d'uccle

Maybe its a bantam lavender orpington? Do they make that.

Here is 1. Compared to one that’s for sure a Barred Rock which is why I was kind of confused lol

1. If it is a bantam then I think it must be a cuckoo old English game bantam. I see no other barred or cuckoo varieties of bantams offered in their catalogue. It's a pullet.

2. Splash Old English game bantam cockerel.

3. Black frizzle Cochin bantam cockerel.

I agree. I'm guessing the first is a large fowl chick thrown in. Doesn't seem to be built like a bantam
