ID these black ducks??

I know almost nothing about ducks but I noticed a flock of three ducks that showed up at the local pond that I am pretty sure are not wild ducks. Curious as to what breed they are. They are a bit larger than the mallard ducks but otherwise have the same body type. The main color is black and in fact one of them is either all black or mostly black. The other two have random white splotches/spots. The spots are not huge - it is clear the main color is black. Any ideas? Sorry, I don't have any pictures of them - I know that would helpful.

It is hard to say whether they are Cayugas or Black East Indies. BEI are built more like Mallards than Cayugas are, but are generally the same size or smaller than Mallards. Cayugas look similar to BEI, but they are much larger than them and Mallards both.
