I'm SO excited - I can hardly wait!! I have 21 bantams on the way this week (shipping on Weds. March 3. I have 9 White Crested Black Polish, 9 Easter Eggers, and 3 Partridge Silkies.

I feel like a little kid at Christmas!

just one wee little thing...when you say "brooder at 95F", i hope you mean that the basking area is 95 and the rest of the brooder is cooler. the peeps will cruise around and thermoregulate themselves.
 
Yes! That's exactly what I mean! I have 2 lamps set up: one is set to 95F and the other is hanging up higher. Outside the lit area the temp is showing 75F (which is why I put the second lamp in there...it was reading 65F without the second lamp...and that was at 1pm today. I think 75F is plenty cool to get away from the heat...it worked last year, anyway - but all my chicks last year were standard sizes/breeds.

I'm SO excited! These will be long days!
