We got the call at 8:30 am and rushed right down to the feed store. There were my new babies, all 56 of them. 50 RIR and 6 banties.

They are in their brooder, with gro gel in their food (yummy green stuff) and quik chick water (bright yellow water, delicious I'm sure)

I adjusted the heat lamp about 8 times. I've bought three thermometers and finally settled on the latest new one from the hard ware store.

There was no problem getting them to eat or drink. I did as I was instructed on this web site, stuck their little beaks in the water as I put them in the brooder.

Anyway, I am now a new Mom for the first time in about 46 years and lovin' it.
