Ideal Hatchery Crevecoeur Question

I have a Crevecoeur pullet and a rooster both from the Ideal Hatchery. Does anyone know if Ideal breeds their Crevs. from recognized American Poultry Association stock? I am asking this because I don't know if I can list my pair as Heritage stock or not.
Hopefully someone can answer my question soon.

Because they are hatchery stock, I doubt that they are perfect quality. That doesn't mean they aren't breedable, though. You can probably find out APA info on Ideal's homepage. I don't think they are, I will look into it. Creves are a very rare breed, and they need as many breeders as possible to save them. Hatchery birds have potential to become show quality if you cull and breed for traits, even though most breeders say to avoid them. Are you selling your pair?
ETA I just checked the sight and didn't find anything about an APA membership...but being part of the APA does not constitute a heritage. Heritage birds are breeder birds that are slow-growers and produce lots of meat and eggs. With a lot of breeding, you could get them to that status.
If any really experienced people found some errors in that, please correct me! I'm always learning!

Thank you for that info Annie. I had checked the Ideal site and wasn't able to find any APA info on their page either. My problem is that I am just a backyard chicken keeper only a few months into keeping a flock. I am not really looking to show or breed since I am located within city limits with minimal land for the 6 chickens I currently have. I wish I had the land to begin breeding because I want to get into Heritage breeds. The real issue I have is that my chicks are just about 3 and a half months old and mature enough for me to know I have 2 roosters and I can't keep them together because they have just started fighting. I want to keep the Easter Egger roo so am opting to re-home both the Crevie roo and the Crevie pullet. The pullets are picking on the Crevie pullet too. I don't want to separate a pair that could potentially help further their breed. Turning them into soup is not an option either..lol. I don't have enough posts on BYC to be able to use the buy/sell/trade forum to re-home them. I hate to just bring them to the feed store for just anyone to get. I want to find someone who has a genuine interest in them to perpetuate their breed. Of course since they are hatchery stock, I don't know if they are from the same rooster and hen or not so not sure they can be bred together. : (

My Crevecoeur Pullet. She is being picked on a bit by the rest of the flock so her feathers aren't in the best form.

My Crevecoeur rooster. His tail is gimpy since he lost a tiff with my EE roo.
