anyone have experience with their duckling or goslings?

im thinking about ordering goslings from there in the spring since they have no min order just min price

They're all I've ever used, I like them

they have a bigger selection of ducks than say Mcmurray.

and I did get a Rouen duckling with a really good crest from them once.

never had a DOA duckling or chick from them either.

I have gotten ducks from them this year and ordering some more in the spring. I just love my ducks from Ideal!!

The buff, cayuga, and magpie are from Ideal. The 2 pekins were from TSC

Quite a few of mine have been from their. So far theyve always been beautiful and healthy birds.

This is my first batch of ducks EVER but they are from Ideal and so far, so good! All were healthy and while only a few days into it I have no worries really.

Actually, I have had several groups of chicks from them, and while maybe not show quality, I don't really care. the chickens all thrived and did well

Of course, you have to be ready sometimes for a box FULL of "packing peanuts"....we had 6 ducks (ordered more, don't ask, theirs gotta be a fox at out PO) and 19 little black chicks!

I would say that is the only draw back to Ideal...sometimes the packing peanuts can seem excessive...but I've always had good luck so far with health and survivability

If you don't want the live packing peanuts, then I'd consider ordering elsewhere.
I ordered from Metzer Farms. They have no min number (well, 2 is the min number), just a min order price. I myself didn't want any extra packing peanuts, so I went with the company that I knew would send me ONLY what I ordered and no extra ducks or extra peeping peanuts.

I ordered 6 ducklings from metzers and got the 6 ducklings I asked for. All in awesome health. And did very well.

im looking at ideal because it has both of the goose breeds i want.
and as far as i have found it is the only hatchery that has both.

thanks all

& packing peanuts are no concern. we can just get rid of them. not all that hard
