I just ordered 15 chicks from Ideal Poultry and I want feedback on the hatchery so I know what to expect. Ive always hear possitive stuff about them but you never know and to tell you all the truth im sort of worried
I ordered 16 chicks from Ideal (4 large fowl chickens, 12 bantams) And they all arrived safely! Nobody was hurt and everyone lived. They also ended up giving me an extra silkie too!
i ordered 12 barred and 12 white rocks and 6 french guineas in feb,
i was pretty happy with them all
we lost a total of 4 (2 guinea and 1 of each chicken)
the weather was awfully cold and i believe that was the reason i lost them.
they aint show quality birds, but very healthy and friendly, what breeds are you orderin?
Also I forgot to add on my original post, when you order online and set a date is that the day the chicks hatch or the day they are shipped? Thanks for answering YR
Anyone else? I want as much info on Ideal as possible
Sorry I was on the phone LOL. I ordered 5 standard ameraucauna pullets, 5 banty ameraucaunas, 2 red silkies, 1 partridge silkie, and 2 assorted silkies. Can ya tell im picky? LOL
My two girls came from feed store via Ideal (they order from Ideal only) and they are beauties. I emailed some questions about vaccines and shipping and didn't get reply but when I called they were very helpful and nice.
I have had a couple orders from ideal and they all arrived fine, except the order I got for March 4th. It was cold then and the box arrived damaged on one side so I think they were handled roughly and maybe left overnight somewhere cold because they took longer to arrive than my other chicks from them. Ideal was nice and they credited my card right away.
My experience with Ideal has been a very good one. My black cochin flock originated with chicks from Ideal. You can see them here. They turned out to be very healthy and beautiful birds. I would definately recommend Ideal.
