IDEAL Poultry quqestions!

I ordered 3 pullets from IDEAL Poultry in Tx.

1 Barred Rock
1 Rhode Island Red
1 Americauna

I put the ship date as June 29. When do you think they will arrive here?
Also, how old are these birds when they arrive?
Does IDEAL usually put extra chicks in with small orders like this? If so, are they ALWAYS roosters, or random?

Is that all you ordered? Ideal has a minimum $20.00, you will need to meet this for an order.

Yes you will most likely get extras with a small order. Ideal will ship small orders but they do have a minimum order charge. They will ship the chicks the day that they hatch. It will take one or two days to get to your post office. Notify your p.o. that you have chicks coming and give them your phone #. They can live up to 3 days after hatching without food and water. Try to arrange to pick them up as soon as they call. Keep reading this site and learn as much as you can and you will do fine. Good Luck and welcome to BYC and chickens.

Don't forget the heat lamp! And if you can get it, some nutrient gel is great for a starter for the first day or two.

They will e-mail you and tell you what day they are shipping the chicks. As already stated they do have a minimum of $20 on orders.
