Hi all, I hatched out three silkie chicks just about a month ago, on the 18/12/21, and have been weighing them:

16/01/22
White: 89g
Brown: 92g
Grey: 166g (somehow)

23/01/22
White: 192g
Brown: 240g
Grey: 369g

I'm a bit worried about the white as she is consistently almost half the weight of the grey, who is the most dominant. What weight should the chicks be at a month? They all seem physically healthy (I check them daily). Attached are pictures of each to show the size difference (sorry for blur, I was more focused on making sure they didn't jump 😂). Grey had problems hatching, didn't think it'd even survive the night but now is the biggest? I don't know sexes yet but I think maybe Grey is a rooster? It's started to grow in a comb and wattles already and is highly likely its a bluebell/silkie cross- all three are potentially crossed as they were gotten from someone with multiple breeds (they have the odd feet so definitely silkie genes)

The weights look about right. The white one is the only one that looks pure Silkie so natural for it to be smaller.😊
The gray one being quite heavier and also already exhibiting wattle and comb indicate that you are right and it is likely a cockerel. (Cockerel is the name for a male chicken less than one year of age.) Post clear comb photos when they’re a bit older to be certain.
The gray and the brown ones both appear to be mixes, so depending on what they are mixed with their size will be different.
Edited for spelling
