Odd question, but the park where I feed ducks and geese is teeming with fire ants. I always get zapped once or twice and the last time I visited, I noticed the birds shaking their bills after eating scratch that was on the ground. Since they shouldn't have to choose btwn eating and being bit by fire ants, I thought if I had a compact, mobile feeding trough we could all get bit a bit less. Any suggestions for making one (or would it just be better to buy something?)

Thanks so much!

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and look in the paint section. They make disposable, metal and plastic paint trays they may work. Also there are some cheap trays for use of drywall mud.May be a place to start. Paper plates?
