ideas needed to get them to eat soaked split peas

I soaked a bunch for human soup....didn't get back to it in time. I had given some to the hens. They wouldn't touch them. Now, what do I do with the rest of them? I thought about grinding them up or even cooking them. What would you do with them if they aren't eating them natural?

Dried beans can be toxic.

Cook them first. They will eat them then.

I thought beans and peas were not in the same family. For example a huge part of pigeon diet is dried peas. field peas, pigeon peas, cow peas (black eyed crowder types)
