Ideas on Discouraging Neighbor Dogs

I forgot about this so I'll quickly update: The dogs haven't been back, as far as I know. The lady and I still smile and go out of our way to wave and speak to each other if possible. I don't want any bad feelings with anyone, especially with a neighbor. I still haven't added electric fencing because I am thinking about moving to be closer to my Daddy. So, I guess I'm lucky to have a neighbor like this and I sure respect her for taking this seriously. Now, I realize that something could happen tomorrow but I certainly hope not. Still planning on going with electric fencing as that seems like the best way to go.

My Bassets previous owner gave him to me because he was an escape artist when he was only 6 mo old.He's only gotten out twice in 2 yrs ago I've had him and one of those times was due to a storm when a tree to fell on our fence but the 2nd time was my fault, sorry. Bassets are sweet love bugs but they're runners and hunters .(not safe to have around chickens) I have chickens myself but my Bassets isn't allowed around them .They're in a predator proof coop and run , not free ranged.I'm adding an electric fence to my coop due to the many predators we have and also because I have a Basset with a strong prey drive . I've had Bassets 20 yrs, so this isn't my first one.Please consider getting an electric fence because those Bassets will be back if they get loose.
