Ideas on how to differentiate eggs?

I'm pretty sure that was the point that @KsKingBee was making about the guineas... I believe he has had issues with his guineas harassing his peas.

Your blind hen is not going to be able to protect herself from them.

I know, I know. Strangely enough they don't bother her in the coop. Guess they think that's where she "belongs". It's only when I let her out. Otherwise they would be out of here.

And the only pea they bother is my peacock. I think the females must have beat the tar out of them at one point? Anyhow never seen them harass the hens. Only have two and I keep thinking they are going to die of old age here soon. Their PPP fell out of the tree sleeping last year, pretty sure he was just decrepit. They are 5 years old now. How long do guineas live anyhow!?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but average life span of a guinea can be 10-15 years.

I feel your pain, I have 3 of them, all about 5 years old, running around. They also harass only the male Peacocks, I've seen the Peahens lay into them pretty good. The dumb Peacocks display for them like they think they are hens and while one guinea distracts him the other 2 jump him from behind. How is your boys leg?

Sadly I haven't been able to assess or do anything about him. That ER and 10 day trip to hospital ruined my treatment plan.

My sis has been taking care of them and taking care of me, poor thing. She is 18 years older than me and just exhausted. Strict dr orders not to do anything for 3 or 4 more days. . Good news is I am gonna live!

Strangely enough, the oregano oil I have been taking as antibiotic saved my life as appendix burst couple months back. Talk about higher power!

I never heard of anyone living 2 months with a ruptured appendix so much infection is released in the abdominal cavity that infection sets in fast causing organ failure. how much oil were you taking and why were you taking it in the first place?

I really don't know what all happened, they said I was a toxic mess. My body had 'encapsulated' it to the best f it's ability? I was actually taking oe for that crud I had that had been going around. I don't have insurance so for the most part use what is natural. I never heard of anyone having one that long either but when I got home and on the Internet, I read in some cases they try to get rid of infection before operating? So maybe Its beginning to be faceted practice, like how dentist won't remove tooth til abscess is down some? They took mine out right away, but I am just saying had I not had the nasty cold with no antibiotic in me, I don't think I would be here. Thus meaning.. God works in mysterious ways. The dr is still about 85 percent certain I will have reinfect ion/abscess and I am just as determined to not!

I'm good, thanks for asking. Took a few days, but all the aches and pains are gone. Sounds like you have a bit more to bounce back from than I did. Take care of yourself and don't overdo it.
