My roommate has had chickens for years. They mostly have consisted of a mixed flock of Leghorns, Rhode Island Reds and occasionally Buff Orpintons. Their flock has dwindled to two older hens a Rhodie and a Leghorn. My roommate never culls her flock, doesn't have a roster, and let's the girls live out their lives until old age takes them. She is getting older and decided that once these two girls go she'd be done. Recently my son came to me wanting to help a friend out. His friend had 2 hens that were going to be seized because their HOA found out about them. My roommate allowed me to take them in and use the spare coop we have that has been empty for over a year.
The friend who had the hens didn't know the breeds. She got them at different times from 2 different feed stores last year. Can anyone help me out? I'm pretty sure one of them is a silver laced wyandotte. Not sure about the other. I've attached pics of them. The dark one is Luna and the white one is Kendall. Any help would be appreciated.
