Oh yes. If I have a broody hen that I want to move for example. If I move her during the day she knows what just happened and will get up to walk around and freak out. If I move her at night she just settles in and sleeps. If you take the hens off the roost at night, wrap her in a towel, and band her, she will just go back to sleep.

I'll take them! Lol. I gave plenty if leg bands of my own. I have pink, blue, purple. So my hens names are:
Blue - Sky
Purple - Plum
Pink - Bubblegum

Go get some leg bands (or zip ties) and take them off the roost one night with a red light and band them.

This works well for me.

Any time I need to do anything with my birds I go down after dark and take them off the roost.

I bought Happy Hen brand and yes. I had to buy a certain size. The happy hens list breeds on the back and I bought the size for Cochin Bantams and they were too small so I had to go up a size.
