Identify Breed and Gender

I am a newbie and am not sure about the breed and gender of these little ones. Can anyone help?

I don't exactly know the breed, but the golden one looks like a hen and the dark red one looks like a rooster.

It looks like a Golden Comet (pullet) and a Red Sexlink (cockerel).

Golden Comet for the lighter red female and Rhode Island or maybe production red for the male.

Red sex link males are all white with bits of red in the feathering...

I make sure to do mine before 6 months, after that they start to get tough. You can do anytime before then, but I find that optimum age is 4-5 months depending on their weight.

Do you know how old the lighter colored bird is? I'm not positive it's a pullet, I'm thinking younger cockerel, second generation sex link. Or do you know where it came from?
