It's a male and most likely a cross of breeds.

Definitely a boy.

He has a barring pattern and a columbian pattern (makes the expression of the dark parts go only to the neck and tail where you see the barring). I also see a rose or pea comb that my be a hybrid with another comb type (too small to make out for sure).

Based on the color pattern and comb, I am going to guess that his mom was a Dominique (giving the barring) and his dad was something like a Columbian Wyandotte and that maybe someone was experimenting with creating their own Sex Link. Just a guess mind you!

Mixed breed rooster. As stated, he has several markers. He has barred and/or Delaware parentage, and that comb looks like a straight and rose mixed.
