I can remember that this question has been asked before. What I can't remember is what the answer is.

I would kind of like to identify my 'first-born' chickie that hatched out of the RIR eggs that survived the power outage.

I can think of him as my lucky chick.

How can I keep him straight from the others?

He will look pretty much the same in a day or two.

Hey! That's a great idea CC! I'll have to remember that if/when my little horde hatches! I was going to suggest that Iggi gets one of those little bitty colored leg bands for small birds, and then either remove it completely after the chick goes through its first fledging, or gradually replace it with larger and larger bands. Most feed and farm supply stores carry them. Just ask for colored leg bands!

Hey IggiMom, do we ever get to see this little chick? Or are ya gonna keep him/her a great big secret?
