Identifying unknown tree

Anyone know what this tree is? I've done searches and stuff but not finding a match. It gets white flowers on it in the spring. During the summer and fall it has these smooth round nut things. It isn't fruit.
I have pictures of leaves, the nuts, and nuts split open, and bark. The squirrel in our tree eats them.

That’s exactly what I thought haha. My first guess was some sort of crab apple tree actually. But google images found this.

Any number of what we call ornamental pears. Bradford is another.
