I did notice how fast it was growing, as it is as large or larger than my Americanas who are a couple weeks older.They are a dual purpose variety, bred to be quick growing for the table but also making good layers if that is what the owner desires. They are not short lived like Cornish cross.
I am not sure on gender. Time will tell. Watch the comb/wattles for growth and red coloring over the next few weeks.
