If drake starts breeding means ducks will lay soon?

I just noticed my drake was breeding the ducks and i am wondering if tyhat means they will start laying soon

they are supossed to be runners, but i dont see they walk so streight up

How old are the ducks? Males can mate for a few weeks before the ducks start to lay. But it can also depend on where you live and the season, so it may be a few weeks- or even spring before you start to see some eggs.

I guess they are about 4 months old
