If I buy fertile eggs will my hens hatch them?

Sometimes a bunch of eggs in a nest will spark a hen to go broody,but not always.I would not spend money on eggs until the hen becomes broody. You might leave some of your eggs in a nest for a few dya to see if one will take the bait.

what kind are you going to buy you need to see if one of your hens go broody before you buy eggs

I dont know what kind but I will wait for a broody and try to get some

The Answer is absolutely...Yes!

But, wait until the hen goes broody and is sitting on the nest before you attempt it. I did this for the first time 21 days ago with my broody gal and now have 3 new EE peeps (my broody is a Delaware mix) and one left to hatch.

I slid the eggs under her at night and she's hatched them and is now raising them....
