If I Didn't Have Animals . . . .

As I was cleaning up dog hair from the couches and floors, spraying fabreze, and sprinkling carpet fresh today, I asked myself what i would do with all my free time if we didn't have the three dogs........

My answer, probably mope around sad and lonely missing them!!!!!

LOL, I thought I was the only one that had dogs follow me to the potty!!!!!

We were thinking the same thing the other day, what would we do/have if we didnt have any animals. We would probably live in town, if not, we would grow hay where the horses and goats are. We would have so much more money, because we buy 100 #s of dog food a month, 40 # of cat food, a ton of chicken feed every 2 months, about a ton of hay a month, 2oo # of horse grain, plus cockatoo food, and toys for the cats and dogs. Then there would be all the free time to have fun and not have to worry about waters being full, or feeding the dogs at 6, it would be less stressful, but more lonely. Also, I could wear black without having a cat or dog full of hair on it.

Last night my SO, who is a cop, got a call of a dog running loose in a neighborhood. What he found when he went out there was a beautiful (according to him) female shepherd. He said she had wonderful manners and was just a sweetheart. Long story short, he didn't want to leave her in the animal control guy's truck overnight, so she's being housed at the mayor's house while they try to locate the owner (only in a small town folks).
Anyhow, I could tell by the way he went on and on about this dog that he misses his beloved shepherd and it may be getting close to time for us to have a puppy again!

Thank you nc catnip, I needed that . And suenrob your gsd is gorgeous. I have two and am fostering a chihuahua still....... I have friends and I believe: now that I was thinking ,that I have more animals than any of them and you should see me run around and clean when I know they are coming. Why? I guess I want them to think that my house is as clean as their's with very little effort as I non challantly(sic) open the door when they ring the doorbell. How stupid is that. Any way as you guys can see I needed that little affirmation from nc catnip. Thanks.

.....I could leave the house without putting the garbage can on the counter or cursing myself 3 miles down the road because I forgot.

My dog wont even enter the bathroom....thats where her baths take place !!
