i bought store chicken and think i didn't cook it enough. now i'm thinking i may have been sick from salmonella poisoning the past week and i'm wondering if it might transfer to my chickens. does anyone know if this could happen? i haven't seen any of my birds getting sick but i want to be sure since i just went through getting my NPIP last month and don't want to have the state vet out here again if this is going to be an issue.
eta: i have a doc appointment tomorrow and will ask to be checked for that to see if i should still be concerned.
