If I have a big chicken, how big should the door to the coop be?

My Leghorn rooster is pretty big and I have a door that is approx. 9" wide by 12" tall.

The chickens will bend down to get through the door if need be. I don't no where you live but one consideration to ponder is during the winter the pop door will let in a cold draught. I have a big pop door & it got really cold this winter & I had to keep the door blocked off.
