If I *hypothetically* wanted to get some coloured egg layers which ones should I get?

What breed?

So hosting the natural egg contest has made me want to get some coloured egg layers. I might or I might not. Once I rehome my last 2 roos I'll have space to get up to 3 more chickens (I'll probably only get 2 though). If I did get some I'm not sure what I would get that lays eggs other than white/beige.

Must:
  • Be a small breed (I have bantams)
  • Non-aggressive (My chickens are pets)
  • Be easy to find
  • Lay any egg colour except for white/beige
I'll add options onto the poll

I vote cream legbars! They are awesome breeds to have.

Cream legbars!
(I actually have no idea which would be better, I just want to get Cream legbars so I voted for them 😁)

I vote Cream Legbar also! If the hen ends up crossed with a brown egg breed roo, you have baby OEs! Not a guarantee with EE! ❤️

A point for you!
Also. I read that they can be "wild" os it true?
Mine are all sweet and mellow, even the ones that we didn’t spend much time with. Mine aren’t wild, but they do have a lot of personality. I think that they are one of the best breeds out there because they are sweet, gorgeous, and they lay such pretty eggs. You could even have your own Kevin!:wee

Are they good with bantams? Thor and Noodles aren't gonna grow much bigger.
