"Yes, I will." Then she mewed softly, "Lilacstar? Does it feel any better?" She was trying to ignore the happiness she felt inside every time their eyes met.

She caught his eye. "This was her first battle, and against badgers too. She is in serious shock. I'll give her a poppy seed and take her to rest in the warriors den."

"Okay, Lilacstar." The better part of her thought this was a horrible, dangerous idea. We shouldn't be spending time together! But inspite herself, she couldn't help feeling this would be the best night of her life.
